Story Highlights

  • Master League is officially returning to the eFootball franchise.
  • The announcement was made during eFootball CONNECT: Spotlight Interview.
  • The first in-game reveals are planned for April 2026, although release date is unconfirmed.

After a long wait and many requests from players, Master League is coming back to the eFootball series. KONAMI announced this during a live interview on February 4, 2026.

Master League was a major game mode that left a huge void with the eFootball switch

In a recent interview, KONAMI announced that players will get a first look at the revamped Master League mode through an in-game event expected around April 2026. While it was previously confirmed that Master League would be available on mobile devices, this announcement didn’t mention mobile at all.

Master League will center around keeping your players in top shape. This includes their fitness, form, and endurance, as well as managing their careers over time. Players will improve, get tired, and can even get injured based on how you handle their training and appearances.

Honestly, I’m not sure how they’re going to pull this off technically, but it definitely feels like a huge leap forward from the old Master League days in PES. As someone who’s been playing PES for years, this announcement has me seriously excited!

Master League has always been a core part of the PES experience, allowing players to manage a team, build it up from the ground, and create their own long-term football journey. When eFootball replaced PES and removed this mode, it left a significant void that hasn’t been adequately addressed.

After a four-year gap, this highly anticipated game mode is finally returning! While April isn’t far off, players are still wondering exactly when they’ll be able to play it after the official reveal. The wait continues, even after the announcement.
