BTS is returning to the stage with a special performance that will be livestreamed globally on Netflix. It’s their first group performance in over three years and will take place at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, near the iconic Gyeongbokgung Palace, on March 21st. The event, titled BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang, will be broadcast live from the palace’s main gate.
The livestream concert is happening at the perfect time – just one day after their fifth studio album, Arirang, comes out on March 20th. The album was recorded in the latter part of 2025, after all seven members finished their required military service and came back together.
For the first time since December 2022, all seven members of the group – RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – will perform together. They had paused group activities to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea, with SUGA being the last member to finish on June 21, 2025, reuniting the full group.

Okay, so Netflix isn’t just giving us the concert film! They’re also dropping a documentary called BTS: The Return on March 27th – only a week after the concert itself. It’s directed by Bao Nguyen, who did The Greatest Night in Pop, and it looks like it’s going to be a really personal look at how Arirang was made and what it was like for the guys to come back together. I’m super excited to see that!
According to Tudum, the documentary will show BTS looking back at their incredible journey, including both the challenges and joyful times, and sharing their thoughts on what the future holds for the group.
The movie centers around the band members as they come back together in Los Angeles to make music, and explores the challenges they face trying to reconnect after growing and changing as individuals over the years.
This new partnership with Netflix is a big win for the streaming service, as they’ve been increasingly focused on offering K-pop content. The concert, directed by Hamish Hamilton, will be a historic event – the first live broadcast from Korea available to a global audience.
