I’m so excited, Beast Games Season 2 Episode 5 is finally here on Prime Video! I just finished watching and I’m sharing my recap of everything that happened. Plus, I’m breaking down all the results from the episode!

Beast Games Season 2 Episode 5 recap

The latest episode of Beast Games, Season 2, continued the competition right after the last one ended. In the previous episode, JC unexpectedly received a $10 million coin. MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) explained that if JC reaches the top six contestants, he’ll get to flip the coin, which could double the total prize money to $10 million.

If JC is eliminated before the end, the coin will be removed from the game, and the prize money will stay at a guaranteed $5 million. In episode 5, MrBeast offered JC $50,000 to give up the coin, but JC refused the offer.

The fifth episode of Beast Games Season 2 continued with a new challenge. MrBeast explained, “Similar to last season, three contestants will enter each cube.”

He explained that only two of them would be able to continue. Each of the three cubes contained a pair of handcuffs. Their task was to decide who would handcuff themselves to the wall, sacrificing their chance to advance so the other two could proceed. He emphasized that he didn’t care how long it took, and they would remain in the cubes until someone volunteered to be chained up.

Only twenty players were left, and Catey and Ethan were the final two at one of the remaining challenges. The challenge went on all night, and when all the groups had finished, only two challenges remained: one with Catey and Ethan, and another holding the $10 million prize.

Catey and Ethan ultimately let fate decide. They wrote their names on 16 pieces of paper, and MrBeast randomly drew one. It turned out to be Ethan’s name, so he kept his promise and eliminated himself from the competition.

The last cube contained Jim, JC, and Monica. They decided to let Monica remain in Beast City. Jim and JC then chose to determine their own fates with a card game. They each drew cards from a standard 52-card deck, adding up the values of each card they drew. Whoever had the higher total score would stay. Jim scored 170 points, while JC finished with 150.

Even though JC lost the challenge, he still possessed the valuable $10 million coin. This gave him a bargaining chip. He proposed a deal with Monica: he’d give her the coin if both of them could stay in the competition, but only if Jim voluntarily left the game.

JC said he still has a lot to offer and asked if they’d consider using him. He offered to give Monica the money if they didn’t.

MrBeast asked, “So, you’re offering to give Monika the coin to ensure both you and it remain in the game?”

If he removes himself from the competition, then she has a real chance of winning it all. She could potentially earn $10 million, which significantly improves her position and encourages others to support her.

When MrBeast asked Jim what he thought, Jim remembered a promise he’d made to Monica earlier: he would do anything to help her get there.

The episode then ended on a cliffhanger.
