He won the biggest award of the night – Album of the Year – at the 2026 Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Bad Bunny confidently walked on stage, looking incredibly stylish in a black velvet suit and with a neatly trimmed beard.
The Puerto Rican rapper, now 31, looks much different than he did nearly 10 years ago when he first became famous as a young artist.
In 2017, the star didn’t have his signature curly dark hair. Instead, he had a very short buzzcut with designs shaved into his head.
When Bad Bunny, whose full name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, first became famous, he looked quite different – he had a rounder face, a less defined jawline, and often wore a mouth grill.
People online were amazed by his appearance after he won a Grammy, and many took to Twitter to share their excitement about his incredible transformation.
One fan shared a before-and-after photo of the artist and wrote, ‘I have to know what Bad Bunny did to become so amazing!’
Someone shared an old video of Bad Bunny, showing him as a young man with bold, colorful clothes and pink sunglasses. They commented on how different he looks now compared to when they first discovered his music.
Someone also commented on Bad Bunny’s apparent surgeries, saying he looks completely different now, but that it was money well spent because he looks amazing.
‘Nah Bad Bunny’s transformation is immaculate. Wow’.
It is unclear if the hitmaker’s changing looks are a result of plastic surgery or weight loss.
In an October Instagram video that quickly gained popularity, Dr. Jennifer Armstrong, who is a cosmetic doctor, noted that the celebrity looked noticeably different. She speculated he may have had jawline adjustments and a minor nose reshaping procedure.
Dr. Armstrong, a plastic surgeon who has worked with several stars from Bravo’s Real Housewives, is certain Benito has had a nose job, even though he’s never treated him personally.
When comparing photos of the singer of ‘Mia’ taken before and after, the expert noted a change in the angle of his nose and a subtle lift at the tip.
Dr. Armstrong thinks Bunny might have had fillers along his jawline to change its shape, but also acknowledges that his weight loss could be responsible for the difference in his appearance.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz around Bad Bunny’s appearance, and there’s been a lot of speculation online. Some surgeons have suggested he may have had a deep plane facelift – it’s a procedure that lifts and adjusts the deeper tissues of the face. It’s definitely a conversation starter!
The actor is also dedicated to staying in shape, and he remembers being at the gym when he found out he’d been cast in the Super Bowl commercial.
He explained to Zane Lowe on Apple Music that he was working out when he received the news. He remembers immediately doing 100 pull-ups afterward.
‘I didn’t need more pre-workout shit or whatever. It was very special. It was so special.’
Besides being a famous musician, Bad Bunny is also a skilled wrestler. He first entered the wrestling ring at WrestleMania 37 and went on to win the WWE 24/7 Championship in 2021.
Creative director Janthony Olivares has spoken about the star’s dedication, saying it’s been a lifelong dream. He completely focused on the sport, putting all other activities – including music – on hold to give it his full attention.
He explained to GQ that the artist underwent a huge transformation after becoming famous and starting to tour. He began training intensely, twice a day, focusing on both his skills and physical fitness – it was the most significant change his trainer had ever witnessed.
After getting a part in the 2022 movie Bullet Train, the singer began training with knives to prepare for the film’s action sequences.
Bad Bunny became visibly emotional on Sunday after winning Best Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. This marked a historic moment, as it was the first time an album sung in Spanish had ever received the award.
The actor used his award acceptance speech, delivered mostly in Spanish, to strongly criticize U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
He delivered a moving speech, dedicating the award to those who have left their homes and countries in pursuit of their dreams.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what happened! When he won Best Música Urbana Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, the very FIRST thing he said when he got to the microphone was ‘ICE out!’ It was EVERYTHING. I nearly lost it! It wasn’t just a win, it was a STATEMENT, and I’m still buzzing about it. Seriously, ‘ICE out’?! Iconic.
The NUEVAYoL hitmaker said: ‘Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE Out.’
The crowd gave him a huge round of applause before he went on to emphasize that immigrants and Puerto Ricans are not criminals, outsiders, or any less American than anyone else – they are Americans.
Bad Bunny encouraged everyone to overcome hate with love, urging them not to let it control them.
I’ve always believed that negativity just breeds more negativity – the more hate there is, the stronger it seems to become. But honestly, I’ve found that love is the real powerhouse. It’s the one thing that truly overcomes and surpasses all the darkness. It’s just stronger, period.
We need to approach disagreements differently, with love and compassion. It’s important to remember that we should respond to conflict by focusing on love for our community and family, not with hatred. Let’s not forget that. Thank you, and thank you to The Academy, and to God.
