Ant McPartlin has traded the busy life of London for a quieter existence in the countryside of Surrey, recently purchasing a very expensive house.
The Mail on Sunday reported that the presenter of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here has bought a large, newly built house on a prestigious street for over £10 million – a record price for the area.
It is said his purchase is costing the star more than £1million in stamp duty alone.
Although we don’t know exactly where Ant has relocated, most estates like it are found in the northern part of the county.
This location offers convenient access to major highways, making it easy for him to travel to London and both Gatwick and Heathrow airports – ideal for his work as a presenter.
The 50-year-old presenter will likely feel comfortable living in this area, which is home to many celebrities like Sir Cliff Richard, John Terry, Stormzy, and Gary Lineker.
Ant McPartlin, who welcomed a child with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett 18 months ago, has plenty of excellent school options to choose from in their area of Surrey, which is known for having some of the best schools in the country.
This includes the likes of the prestigious Surbiton School, Epson College and Charterhouse School.
Surrey offers a fantastic food scene, with options ranging from high-end Michelin-starred restaurants to charming country pubs, riverside eateries, and cozy coffee shops.
If you love golf, you’re in luck in this area! It’s home to fantastic clubs like St George’s Hill and Wentworth.
It’s easy to see why these high-end properties draw in a prestigious crowd – including royalty, successful business leaders, and famous celebrities.
Ant recently sold his expensive home in Wimbledon, southwest London, following a disagreement with his neighbors over planning issues.
According to a villager, this sale is the biggest they’ve ever seen in the area, and everyone is talking about it.
The property is a large, private estate with plenty of land, so the new owner likely won’t have any issues with nearby neighbors.
Surrey is still a very pricey place to live in the UK, largely because of its convenient location near London.
As of January 2026, the average house price in Surrey for a detached property is £963,000.
The average home price on the priciest street in Old Avenue, Weybridge, is currently £2.63 million.
Ant doesn’t have to worry about money thanks to a new £30 million deal with ITV, which also ensures he’ll continue working with his close friend and TV partner, Declan Donnelly.
Locals have said Ant and his wife have been out with their son, Wilder.
Oh my gosh, someone actually saw him! They said he looked so peaceful and happy, always making time to greet fans like me who recognize him. But honestly, they weren’t even that fazed because our town gets so many famous people hanging out at the pubs and hostels – it’s just normal for us now! Can you believe it? He’s just… blending in! It’s amazing, really.
Ant sold his house in London shortly after the disagreement about planning permission, but he insisted the sale wasn’t related to the dispute.
He changed his mind after residents criticized his plan to remove six large, healthy trees from his property, calling it a frivolous decision.
Residents protested when the city council approved his landscaping plans, even though a tree preservation order was in place.
One neighbor objected, writing that the request to cut down the large trees wasn’t justified, as the only reason given was the owner wanting to redesign part of their garden.
‘There is no suggestion that any of the trees are dangerous or diseased.
What someone wants shouldn’t be more important than protecting these trees and the benefits they provide to the community and the environment.
In 2019, Ant purchased a £6 million house with three floors and moved in with Anne-Marie. He had previously lived near Donnelly in Chiswick, West London.
The couple spent a significant amount of money – likely hundreds of thousands of dollars – to renovate their home. They added two extensions and built a swimming pool complete with Victorian-style changing facilities.
They invested a significant amount of money – hundreds of thousands of pounds – into renovating their dream home, but have since changed their plans and decided to move elsewhere.
Despite all the renovations they did, Ant has enough money to completely customize their next house to their liking.
He purchased the house after a difficult period. A knee surgery gone wrong led to painkiller use, and combined with existing drinking issues, it almost cost him his career.
In 2017, he completed a two-month stay in rehab, and then returned the following year after a car accident where he was found to be more than twice the legal alcohol limit.
Earlier in 2018, it was confirmed he had split from his wife of 11 years Lisa Armstrong.
He stepped away from his television work for several months and has said his wife, Anne-Marie (who used to be his personal assistant), helped him transform his life. They married in 2021.
Ant is the stepfather to Daisy and Poppy, but he was thrilled to welcome his first biological child in May 2024.
