A new season has arrived in Clash Royale! Season 80, called “Midnight Mischief,” introduces two new Heroes, several special events, and fresh in-game items. This is the third season in a row to focus on new Heroes, and it means Evolutions are happening a bit less frequently. Here’s a full look at everything included in Clash Royale Season 80.
Clash Royale Season 80 “Midnight Mischief” Overview
Season 80 has a dark and romantic Valentine’s Day vibe, with a touch of mischievous goblin fun. Expect to see new Heroes, as well as exciting events like Crown Chase and Clan Voyage. There will also be different seasonal game modes and lots of new cosmetic items to unlock through the Pass Royale, Ranked play, and special events.
New Heroes: Hero Goblins and Hero Mega Minion
As announced ahead of the season, we have two new heroes going live.
Hero Goblin
As a huge fan of Hero Goblins, I’m really excited about their special ability, Banner Brigade! Basically, when you deploy them, they fight just like normal Goblins. But here’s the cool part: when the last Goblin falls, it drops a special banner. If you activate Banner Brigade at the right moment, it summons a whole second wave of Goblins around that banner – it’s a fantastic way to keep the fight going!
Banner Brigade works differently than most Hero abilities – you can’t activate it right away. You have to let all four Goblin allies be defeated first, so careful timing and positioning are key. The Hero Goblin is available now and can be unlocked in Pass Royale for players at Arena 15 or higher.
Hero Mega Minion
Hero Mega Minion gains the ability called Wounding Warp. This lets them instantly teleport to the enemy with the least health across the entire arena, and they deal extra damage when they arrive. Because the teleport has no range limit, they can target enemies anywhere – even those in the back rows, or units collecting resources and providing support.
Wounding Warp can be used only once per battle and doesn’t work on Crown Towers. When used, the Mega Minion becomes temporarily safe during its teleport, making enemies switch their focus afterward. Players with 5,000 trophies or more can unlock the Hero Mega Minion starting February 13, 2026, through the in-app shop.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale Overview
Clash Royale’s Season 80 features a Pass Royale system with two reward tracks: a free track for all players, and a Diamond Pass with even better rewards for those who upgrade. Your progress in the game determines how much you earn from each track.
If you’re in Arena 14 or below, the Free Pass is all about helping you level up. Just by playing each season, you’ll earn Gold, Wild Cards, Boost Potions, and lots of Lucky Chests.

Okay, so I finally hit Arena 15, and wow, the Diamond Pass is actually worth it! It’s not just about getting more resources – you also unlock really cool character skins, special bonuses that change with the seasons, and the ability to use Hero Goblins, which are a game-changer. Seriously, if you’re at this level, you should definitely check it out.
Unlock the Diamond Pass Tower Skin at Tier 10, boasting a beautiful Love Temple design that perfectly complements the Midnight Mischief season. Throughout the season, you’ll also find plenty of new emotes featuring Hero Goblins and Hero Mega Minions, plus a variety of fresh battle banners.
This update complements the current seasonal strengths of Goblins, Princess, Mega Minion, and Zap, and these cards work well alongside the newly released Heroes.
