The Guardian gave the film The Housemaid four out of five stars, praising its over-the-top performances and clever use of flashbacks to reveal the truth. While acknowledging it’s a bit silly, the review highlights that director Paul Feig and the cast deliver a fun and energetic holiday film.
The movie has been a huge commercial success, earning over $300 million worldwide. This makes it director Paul Feig’s most profitable film yet, exceeding the earnings of his previous hit, Bridesmaids.
