Golden-brawls! Romeo Beckham gets taken out by a sumo wrestler as he travels Japan with girlfriend Kim Turnbull amid bitter row with estranged brother Brooklyn

While the buzz around Brooklyn Beckham’s recent Instagram post is dying down, his brother Romeo grabbed attention with a playful sumo wrestling match on Sunday.

Romeo Beckham, the second of David and Victoria Beckham’s four children, is currently in Japan with his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. This comes as the family navigates a difficult time following a very public falling out with their eldest son, Brooklyn, who recently shared a detailed account of their strained relationship in a six-page statement.

The couple made sure a visit to Tokyo and the Tatsunami sumo wrestling stable was a priority on their trip.

Founded in 1876, this stable in Tokyo’s Taitō ward is home to some of Japan’s top sumo wrestlers and is considered by many to be the best in the country.

Romeo, age 23, learned a harsh lesson about sumo wrestling after bravely attempting to take down Hōshōryū Tomokatsu, a professional sumo wrestler and the 74th wrestler to reach the highest rank of yokozuna.

The model shared on Instagram that he had to concede the match after the much larger wrestler easily lifted him up. The crowd found it quite entertaining.

The Tatsunami stable also posted a video of Romeo giving a wrestling lesson, but mistakenly referred to his partner, Turnbull, as his wife.

Romeo and his partner recently visited the Far East following a trip to Paris, where his mother, Victoria, a fashion designer, was honored with a prestigious arts award on January 26th.

As expected, his older brother, Brooklyn, didn’t join the family vacation. This came just a week after he publicly cut off contact with his family, choosing to start a new life in the US with his wealthy wife, Nicola Peltz.

This continues a pattern of the aspiring chef missing important family events. He’s previously skipped his father’s 50th birthday party, the premiere of his mother’s Netflix series in the UK, and the ceremony where his brother David was knighted at Windsor Castle.

Despite recent family troubles, the Beckhams seemed focused on celebrating Victoria’s achievement when she received a special award from the French Ministry of Culture.

This award honors artists, writers, and cultural leaders for their impact on the arts and literature. Past winners include well-known figures like Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, Jude Law, and Denis Villeneuve.

During her acceptance speech, Victoria Beckham thanked her children, saying they always supported her dreams, even after her son Brooklyn recently made harsh criticisms.
