The BBC has announced the celebrity contestants for a new special edition of Gladiators, including a popular face from Taskmaster. The episode, which will air later this year, will challenge four celebrities to use their strength, skill, and speed as they compete against the Gladiators.
Celebrities will compete in popular challenges like Duel, Unleash, and Powerball, ultimately facing off in the famous Eliminator. The question is: who will have what it takes to win?
The lineup includes comedians Sara Pascoe and Chris Ramsey from Taskmaster, television host AJ Odudu known for Big Brother, and George Clarke of Strictly Come Dancing.

Sara playfully said the show was her chance to finally embarrass herself in front of the whole country – something she’d always dreamed of as a kid.
AJ shared their excitement about fulfilling a childhood dream, saying they feel like they’re stepping into the TV show they always wanted to be a part of. Chris, a devoted childhood fan of Gladiators, expressed how amazing it feels to now be a contestant on the show.

George explained he’d been hoping for a chance to compete in a physically challenging show like Gladiators, feeling it would be a good fit after previously missing out on an opportunity with the BBC. However, he doesn’t think he can depend on a teammate to help him succeed, so he’s considering getting some training to prepare.

Bradley and Barney Walsh are returning to host a special episode, though the specific date it will air on BBC One and be available on BBC iPlayer hasn’t been announced yet.
