Grammys 2026 live chat: Ready for music’s biggest night with Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and more

Now that the 2026 Grammys have happened, you can find a recap of the highlights and lowlights in our live chat featuring pop music critic Mikael Wood and staff writer August Brown.

At 5:09 p.m., Trevor Noah joked while walking through the audience and speaking with musicians that the event felt like Jeff Bezos’ wedding, but with a much more diverse crowd. — M.W.

Bruno and Rosé just kicked off the show with their performance of “Apt.”, and it was incredibly fast-paced! It’s strange, but this version of the song reminded me of No Doubt’s “Tragic Kingdom” album – something I’ve never thought before. — M.W.

I really impressed my friend’s five-year-old by sending a video of Huntr/x performing at the UMG gala. Now I’m watching to see if Kendrick Lamar or Bad Bunny – both incredibly important artists right now – finally win Album of the Year, as they’ve been strong contenders for a while. There’s a feeling that this award should be significant. However, don’t be surprised if Bruno Mars and Blackpink’s Rosé win awards in other categories like Record or Song of the Year. — A.B.

It’s 4:45 p.m., and we’re getting ready for the Grammys! We’re excited to be liveblogging all the action from Crypto.com Arena tonight. Will BTS’s “Golden” make history as the first K-pop song to win Song of the Year? Will Lady Gaga finally snag a major Grammy with “Abracadabra” or “Mayhem”? And will Bad Bunny dominate the awards before his Super Bowl halftime show? These are just a few of the big questions we’ll be answering tonight. —M.W.
