Travis Knight’s Masters of the Universe had a long and difficult journey to the big screen, changing hands between writers, directors, and studios over more than ten years. Bringing He-Man to life seemed like an insurmountable challenge. However, early reactions suggest the wait was worth it, and this film might be the best possible adaptation of the Masters of the Universe franchise.
The movie Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who also plays He-Man, alongside Camila Mendes as Teela and Jared Leto as Skeletor (originally Keldor). Alison Brie plays Evil-Lyn (Professor Evelyn Powers), while Idris Elba takes on the role of Man-At-Arms (Duncan). Other cast members include Sam C. An early screening of Masters of the Universe took place in November, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. People especially liked Jared Leto’s performance as Skeletor.
