Four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the new movie finds Peter Parker (Tom Holland) struggling with the fact that everyone – including his friends MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) – has forgotten he exists. On top of that, his powers are changing, and he’s facing a dangerous new enemy that no one can even detect.
After last night’s premiere, early viewers of Spider-Man: Brand New Day are sharing their initial reactions online.
Mike Ryan praised Spider-Man: Brand New Day, calling it a more thoughtful sequel to the popular No Way Home. He believes it’s Tom Holland’s strongest performance as Peter Parker and the best Spider-Man film since Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, and he particularly liked the improved look of the Spider-Man costume.
