ITV has given fans a first look at its upcoming police drama, The Blame, featuring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth. The six-episode series, scheduled to air on ITV1 and ITVX this fall, also includes Ian Hart (known for The Responder), Nigel Boyle (Line Of Duty), and Joe Armstrong (Gentleman Jack).
The film features a talented cast including Matilda Freeman, known for her role as Summer Spellman in Coronation Street, along with Gavin Spokes (Slow Horses), Josh Bolt (Masters Of The Air), Ceallach Spellman (Cheaters), and Nathan Mensah.
The new drama explores hidden secrets, growing distrust, and widespread corruption within a town that appears peaceful on the outside.
The investigation begins when DI Emma Crane and DI Tom Radley start looking into what initially appears to be a sad accident in the town of Wakestead. However, their inquiry quickly becomes much more complex, revealing secrets, hidden misconduct, and difficult choices.
Okay, so as time runs out and things start falling apart, I’m playing as Crane, and I’ve got to solve this murder. But it’s not just about finding the killer – I also have to deal with all the backstabbing and drama happening within my own team. Seriously, can’t trust anyone!
