The Esports World Cup 2026 is expanding beyond the tournament stage as the Esports Festival prepares to transform Paris’ iconic Champs-Élysées into a large-scale celebration of gaming and esports.
On August 2, 2026, a free outdoor festival will be held at a famous location in France, bringing together competitive gaming, entertainment, creators, and interactive activities. The Esports Foundation is organizing the event with the Comité Champs-Élysées, offering a chance for both esports enthusiasts and those new to the scene to enjoy everything the industry has to offer.

EWC 2026 will be held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, but the Esports Festival will extend the event throughout the city. The festival will highlight key figures in French esports, including the founders of some of the country’s most successful esports organizations.

Celebrities will join forces with well-known musicians, entertainers, and online creators to compete in a variety of games. The event will feature Rocket League tournaments, plus exhibition matches in Trackmania and the new EA SPORTS FC 26, blending the worlds of competitive gaming and popular entertainment.
In addition to the main competitions, the festival will offer fun, hands-on experiences like gaming, a chance to discover the world of esports, and talks with pro gamers, teams, and experts in the industry.
I’m so excited for the Esports World Cup 2026! It’s going to be huge for India, with the biggest Indian presence ever. I was thrilled to hear that S8UL and GodLike Esports both made it into the tournament as part of the Club Partner Program. They’ll be competing in a bunch of different games – everything from mobile and PC titles to console games, and even Chess! It’s awesome to see Indian esports getting this kind of recognition.
Chess players earned a direct path to compete thanks to the India Rising qualifier, held in Mumbai. Several other Indian esports organizations – including Revenant Xspark, Global Esports, Orangutan, Apex Gaming, Total Gaming, and True Rippers – will also have players competing in various esports events after successfully qualifying through official routes.
