I was really rooting for Paul Mescal to get an Oscar nomination! He played Will, this young guy working a summer job who gets involved with Leda, and also has this complicated affair with Nina. It was so tense because Nina’s husband, Toni – Oliver Jackson-Cohen was amazing at playing a really intimidating character. Even though he didn’t get nominated this time, I really hope he’s still at the Oscars with Jessie Buckley, since they’re both part of a film that’s up for Best Picture. They both deserve to be there!

Mae Abdulbaki of ScreenRant describes The Lost Daughter as “exquisite,” and believes it foreshadows great things from everyone involved.
