Bandai Namco announced that its popular manga-themed tower defense game, Jump+ Jumble Rush, will end service in Japan on September 17, 2026.
The game featured popular characters from Shonen Jump+ series and began accepting pre-registrations in August 2025. It launched in Japan the following month, September 2025, but unfortunately, it will be shutting down without ever being released internationally.
Jump+ Jumble Rush is ending just one week before its first anniversary
I was really excited about Jump + Jumble Rush. The idea of combining popular characters from Shonen Jump+ series – including favorites like SPY x FAMILY, Kaiju No. 8, and Chainsaw Man – into one tower defense game seemed perfect for fans like me. The game lets you create a team of ten characters, use their signature moves, and protect the Hero Gat from incoming enemies.

So, the Jump+ Jumble Rush team just announced on X that the game is shutting down on September 17, 2026. They said they hope we’ll keep playing until then, which is a bummer. Honestly, they didn’t really say why they’re shutting it down, which is pretty frustrating as a player who enjoys the game.
You can still play until EOS, but the game will never get a global release
After the recent announcement, Prisms (the premium currency) are no longer available for purchase. However, you can still use any Prisms you already have until the game’s servers shut down. The game is also still downloadable on Japanese app stores, so you have another opportunity to play before it’s gone.
You’ll receive information about refunds after the game is no longer available. The developers also ask that you please don’t uninstall it until the refund process has finished. It’s especially disappointing that Jump+ Jumble Rush is closing down so soon – just one week before its first anniversary. Unfortunately, this means players outside of Japan won’t have a chance to play since there won’t be an international release.
