The first screening of Send Help has taken place, and critics on social media are already responding with overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Todd Gilchrist of ScreenRant praised the film as a strong showcase of Sam Raimi’s talent for both entertaining and challenging actors. He also highlighted the excellent script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, describing the movie as clever, thrilling, and very funny.
Bill Bria of SlashFilm called the film “a deliciously sadistic and demented thriller, uniquely delivered by Sam Raimi.”

Rachel McAdams proves once again how talented she is at playing unique characters, and Dylan O’Brien is equally impressive alongside her. The script by Shannon & Swift is witty and doesn’t hold back on the humor, using both direct and subtle jokes.
Film Speak’s Griffin Schiller described the movie as a darkly comedic and ruthless story, filled with the backstabbing and conflict you’d expect from a season of Survivor. He compared its tone to Sam Raimi directing Phantom Thread, suggesting it’s a satisfying takedown of entitled, childish men who are used to having power, but find that power flipped on its head.

Jeff Conway of Forbes called Send Help a “must-see movie,” praising it for having a perfect blend of comedy, suspense, drama, and horror.
Rachel McAdams delivers what many are calling the best performance of her career! Dylan O’Brien is also fantastic in this enjoyable and clever film by Sam Raimi.
Raimi has said the film is fundamentally a story about an underdog, but also focuses on a woman’s journey of empowerment and change.
Send Help is released in US cinemas on 30 January and UK cinemas on 5 February.
