While rumors continue about Sadie Sink potentially joining the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day as Jean Grey, Marvel hasn’t yet announced any actors for its upcoming X-Men reboot, leaving fans eagerly awaiting news.
The upcoming film will be directed by Jake Schreier, known for his work on Thunderbolts. He’s again collaborating with Lee Sung Jin, the creator of Beef, and Joanna Calo, who co-wrote Thunderbolts, to write the screenplay.
There’s been a lot of guessing about the cast for the upcoming X-Men movie, and several actors – like Adam Driver, Cailee Spaeny, Charles Melton, and Patrick Wilson – have been mentioned as possibilities.
The cast list, or at least part of it, was expected to be revealed at the Comic-Con presentation, but that didn’t happen. This will likely lead many to believe the rumors are true: Sadie Sink is indeed playing Jean Grey in the upcoming Spider-Man film.

Marvel fans were disappointed by the recent silence, though some now believe an announcement might be made at next month’s D23 Expo. However, Marvel has typically used D23 in the past to focus on promoting its television series, not movies.

I was really bummed they didn’t show off any of the X-Men cast! Even just a few announcements would have been great – like who’s playing Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Professor X, and Magneto. Seriously, where’s the cast list for the reboot? It’s frustrating not knowing!
Many fans were underwhelmed by Marvel’s Comic-Con panel. One fan expressed their disappointment online, stating that the lack of news about X-Men, WandaVision, and even a new cast for Doomsday made the presentation very disappointing.

Before Comic-Con started, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige playfully mentioned that actor Adam Driver turning down roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become something of a running joke. This led some fans to believe he was hinting at Driver potentially joining the upcoming X-Men films – and it’s still a possibility!
We’re definitely interested in signing Driver, but we always have a video call with him first, and then he makes his decision,” he said. “He’s incredibly friendly and honest about what he’s thinking.
The next Avengers: Doomsday film is expected to feature many of the original X-Men cast members. Unless there are any unexpected additions, we can look forward to seeing Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Kelsey Grammer as Beast.
This could be the last time we see this group of actors together onscreen, as the series is getting a new cast. However, given the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s use of alternate realities, there’s always a chance they might return in some form.
