Apple TV revealed the first look at its new cyberpunk series, ‘Neuromancer,’ at San Diego Comic-Con. At San Diego Comic-Con, Apple TV and Drake—who is also an executive producer—released a first look at their upcoming series, Neuromancer. The show, based on William Gibson’s influential 1984 sci-fi novel, will have ten episodes and stars Callum Turner (a BAFTA winner) as the main character, Case.
Following a surprise appearance by Joe Turner at Apple TV’s Hall H panel, the new series centers on Case, a brilliant but troubled hacker who gets caught up in a dangerous world of digital spying and crime. He joins forces with Molly, a skilled assassin, to pull off a risky heist against a powerful corporation protecting valuable secrets.
The series is a collaboration between creators Graham Roland and JD Dillard, with production handled by Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content, and Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment. Roland also acts as showrunner, while Dillard directed the first three episodes. The cast includes Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard, Clémence Poésy, Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Junia Rees, Jordan Kouamé, Emma Laird, Marc Menchaca, André De Shields, and Isabella Pappas. Aubrey Drake Graham, Adel “Future” Nur, Jason Shrier, David Levine, Garrett Kemble, Zack Hayden, Jennifer Haley, and the author of the original work, William Gibson, all served as executive producers.
Neuromancer premieres globally on January 22 on Apple TV.
