Paula Abdul, 63, makes red carpet debut with her much-taller beau Kevin Taguchi, 64, at pre-Grammys gala

Paula Abdul debuted her romance with Kevin Taguchi on Saturday at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys gala.

The 63-year-old performer and 64-year-old Taguchi, a lawyer from Los Angeles specializing in personal injury cases, walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.

Abdul looked young and vibrant in a shimmering rose-gold dress with flowing, eye-catching sleeves.

The halter neck look also featured a corset bodice that hugged the lifelong dancer’s fit figure.

She wore her honey-blonde highlighted locks in a loose updo with face-framing bangs.

The former American Idol judge looked stunning with a natural makeup look, including a pretty mauve lipstick.

For his part, Taguchi looked handsome in a black suit, black tie, and white shirt.

He had short, neatly combed salt-and-pepper hair and was freshly shaven for the glamorous event.

It’s unclear how long the two have been dating.

Abdul is dating someone new over a year after reaching a multi-million dollar settlement in a sexual harassment lawsuit against her former colleague and reality show judge, Nigel Lythgoe.

76-year-old Lythgoe has refuted allegations that he grabbed and kissed a musician in an elevator against her will.

After the agreement was reached in December 2024, Abdul expressed his relief, stating that he was glad to finally move past the situation.

Saturday’s annual pre-show event was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel.

Besides Abdul, other celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Hudson, and Demi Lovato also attended.

Before the Grammys on Sunday, Avery and Monte Lipman, who founded Republic Records, received an award recognizing their impact on the music business.

Top musicians will come together at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday to celebrate the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The 68th annual awards show, widely known as the biggest night in music, will air live on CBS and be available to stream on Paramount+ beginning at 5 PM Pacific Time / 8 PM Eastern Time.

Trevor Noah, who used to host The Daily Show, is coming back to host again this year – marking his sixth time doing so.

The nominations were revealed in November, and Kendrick Lamar, a rapper with 22 Grammy Awards, received the most nominations with a total of nine.

Lady Gaga has seven nominations, and she’s joined by frequent Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff and well-known pop producer Cirkut.

Sabrina Carpenter, nominated six times for her 2025 album ‘Man’s Best Friend,’ will be performing.

Gaga, Justin Bieber and K-pop sensation Rosé will also take the stage.
