Tony Romo, who used to be the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and now works as an analyst for CBS, was arrested in Wisconsin Thursday night for suspected drunk driving.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Romo was arrested for impaired driving after being stopped on I-43. He didn’t perform well on the tests given to check for sobriety. He was booked into jail and then released, and is scheduled to appear in court on September 21st.

Marcellus Wiley, a former player for the Los Angeles Chargers, is facing accusations of rape and abuse made by his wife, Annemarie, in recently filed court documents. Wiley maintains his innocence and states he possesses evidence to disprove the allegations.
The incident remains under investigation.
According to the police report, this is Romo’s first offense for driving under the influence. In Wisconsin, a first-time DUI is generally treated as a non-criminal matter and could result in fines and a suspended driver’s license.
Tony Romo grew up near Milwaukee, attending Burlington High School. He played college football at Eastern Illinois for four years before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 2004 as an undrafted free agent. Romo spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Cowboys, earning four Pro Bowl selections and throwing a team-record 248 touchdown passes. He also held the franchise record for passing yards with 34,183 until Dak Prescott surpassed him last season.
Tony Romo has been a key analyst for CBS since 2017, working alongside play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz. Together, they’ve broadcast three Super Bowls. CBS declined to comment on Romo’s recent arrest.
