The popular police series The Rookie has quickly climbed into the top 10 most-watched shows on Netflix UK after becoming available on the platform. The show, which premiered in 2019, centers around John Nolan (played by Nathan Fillion), a divorced construction worker from Pennsylvania who pursues his dream of becoming a police officer in Los Angeles – making him an older newcomer compared to his colleagues.
The first four seasons of the show became available on Netflix UK on July 1st, and it’s currently ranked tenth among the most popular shows on the platform in the UK.
The Rookie has amassed several rave reviews since it began, with viewers hailing it “perfect”.

The direction is excellent, and the writing feels new and original. Nathan Fillion is surprisingly a perfect fit for the role and delivers a fantastic performance. The entire cast is excellent, and it’s a pleasure to see the diverse locations of Los Angeles featured in the show.
