Holly Ramsay supported her husband, Adam Peaty, as he successfully qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m breaststroke at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Friday.
The 26-year-old influencer, who recently revealed she’s having a baby girl with Adam, posted a photo on her Instagram Stories of Adam wearing his new swim cap – which features the combined names ‘Ramsay-Peaty’ – and simply captioned it: ‘So Special.’
Holly shared a mirror selfie showing off her growing baby bump. She wore a black T-shirt and low-rise skirt, paired with a cream jacket from Zara and a Longchamp handbag decorated with a Hello Kitty charm.
At the Commonwealth Games, 31-year-old Adam revealed his new name on his swimming cap, hoping it will bring him good luck.
For the first time in a major competition, three-time Olympic swimming gold medalist Jack Burnell is competing under his full name. This comes after he married Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, last December.
Unfortunately, Adam’s parents didn’t come to his wedding and aren’t expected to attend the Commonwealth Games either. They’re currently not on speaking terms with him due to a family disagreement.
Just recently, the Daily Mail reported that Adam’s sister, Bethany – who is pregnant and the only family member still speaking to the couple – has had a major falling out with Holly.

The family disagreement started in September 2024 when Adam and Holly didn’t invite many of their relatives to their engagement party, causing hurt feelings.

Adam’s race was briefly delayed while he was waiting at the starting blocks. A lane rope came loose, and a meet official had to get in the pool – without a shirt – to fix it.
The athlete quickly posted the fastest time of the morning – 59.46 seconds. Only two other competitors, Sam Williamson from Australia and Filip Nowacki representing Jersey, also finished with times under one minute.
Having won his first medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow when he was just nineteen, this three-time Olympic champion is now competing in his fourth Commonwealth Games.
Adam has described these Games as a ‘full circle moment’ as he looks to reignite his career.
Winning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics was a turning point for him, especially after a challenging 2023 where he prioritized his mental health and had to pull out of several competitions.
He first won the 100m race in 2014, and for the next eight years, he consistently dominated the competition. However, that impressive run ended unexpectedly four years ago at the Birmingham games when he finished fourth – a surprising result for him.
The athlete said he was pleased with the result and is preparing for his semi-final on Friday evening. He explained that they have a lot of competitions over the next two weeks, so they are pacing themselves to conserve energy.
I hadn’t been here in a long time – not since I was very young and before I’d achieved much recognition in my field. It’s been quite a journey since then.
Adam earned his first Commonwealth title twelve years ago in Glasgow, and now aims to win another one this weekend. This competition will also serve as an important step in his preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
