Warhorse Studios, the creators of Kingdom Come Deliverance, announced in May they were working on a new game in the Kingdom Come universe, as well as a role-playing game set in the Lord of the Rings world. It appears the name of the new Kingdom Come game may have just been discovered – a trademark filing in Europe lists ‘Kingdom Come Salvation‘.
The Australian website Phrasemaker noticed a new trademark filing for “Kingdom Come Salvation” yesterday, July 23rd, with the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office. The filing includes a logo using the same font Warhorse Studios typically uses for its Kingdom Come game titles. It also indicates the trademark will cover computer games and services that connect players with those games.
As a big fan keeping tabs on things, I was checking out Warhorse Studios’ trademarks with the EUIPO. Right now, they only seem to have applied for one – which is interesting. If they’d also trademarked “Kingdom Come Deliverance 2”, that would have been a pretty strong hint about a sequel! But, digging a little deeper, the lawyer who filed this trademark on their behalf has actually filed a lot of other applications, so it’s not necessarily a clear sign either way.
I was doing some digging and found out that Dana Lukajová is a patent lawyer who specializes in these kinds of cases. She’s actually located right in Prague – which is awesome because that’s where the developers, Warhorse Studios, are too! It seems like she could be their legal counsel or someone they work with regularly.

Details about “Kingdom Come Salvation,” the potential name of the next game in the series, remain scarce. The move away from simply numbering the sequels suggests the story might not continue Henry of Skalitz’s journey or feature him as the main character anymore. As noted by TheGamer, the Hussite Wars began in 1419 in Central Europe—a short time after the events of Kingdom Come: Deliverance which took place in 1403. These wars were caused by a religious split between the Catholic Church and followers of Jan Hus, a reformer burned at the stake for heresy in 1415.
With all the conflict happening, people were naturally discussing the meaning of salvation and how it relates to worship.
