Studio Nicholson recently opened its first store in Beijing, located in the upscale Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping district. This follows a successful launch in Shanghai earlier this year and is part of the brand’s growing presence around the world, with stores already established in London, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Seoul.
Designed by founder Nick Wakeman, the new 158-square-metre store embodies the brand’s idea of a gallery and a home combined. It seamlessly integrates the building’s design, the products, and the overall customer experience. The store’s architecture is inspired by traditional Chinese courtyards and designs, creating a relaxing atmosphere that invites customers to browse the Fall/Winter 2026 collections for men, women, and everyone in between, one room at a time.
As you enter, you’re immediately met with a stunning centerpiece: a four-meter travertine table surrounded by dark walnut chairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret. Polished stainless steel clothing racks complete the look. The space flows easily into a cozy accessories area at the back, featuring a comfortable Hans J. Wegner daybed, soft neutral rugs, and a carefully chosen book collection by Wakeman.
