A Marvel enthusiast thinks the trailer for Avengers Doomsday may have spoiled the movie’s ending. The film will feature a massive team-up of heroes – including the Avengers, Wakandans, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men – as they battle Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.).
Because the movie isn’t coming to theaters until December 18th, fans have been closely analyzing the trailer, and it’s become Disney’s most popular trailer release ever.
One fan believes a specific scene from the trailer is actually how the story ends, and they shared their reasoning on X.
A fan noticed details in a scene showing Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) embracing amidst an explosion. By adjusting the brightness, they determined it was a moment from the very end of the film.
They explained their reasoning in the comments, suggesting the movie’s ending would mirror a storyline from the Avengers comic series by Hickman. They believe the debris shown on the left side of the image represents the aftermath of a catastrophic event that destroys the main Marvel universe (designated as 616).

This sparked speculation among fans about whether the figures represented Doom’s family – perhaps his mother, wife, and children – and if he was trying to resurrect them after they died in an interdimensional conflict.
