To mark fifteen years since her passing, Amy Winehouse’s parents, Mitch and Janis, honored their daughter’s memory.
The ex-couple seemed upset while visiting Amy’s gravesite at Edgwarebury Cemetery in North London on Thursday.
At Amy’s graveside, Mitch and Janis were surrounded by loved ones. They placed yellow and red roses, along with a photo of Amy playing her guitar, as a tribute.
Seventy-one-year-old Janis used a walking aid to help her walk and then sat down on a wooden bench next to seventy-five-year-old Mitch.
Despite divorcing in 1993 when their daughter Amy was nine years old, Mitch and Janis remained close, especially after Amy’s tragic death. They also share a son named Alex.
Amy passed away on July 23, 2011. Investigations determined that she accidentally died from alcohol poisoning.
The singer battled with substance use, including both drugs and alcohol. Throughout her career, she repeatedly entered rehabilitation programs and faced challenges like difficult withdrawals and persistent anxiety.

I always knew Mitch was head over heels for Jane! He didn’t even try to hide it, honestly. Every Friday night, he’d just casually bring her to our house for dinner with the whole family – a traditional Jewish Sabbath meal. It was pretty bold, but also sweet to see how much he cared.
