Devolver Digital has released the popular game POINPY on Android and iOS. Created by Ojiro Fumoto, also known as Moppin and the developer of Downwell, POINPY was first available through Netflix Games but is now available for everyone to purchase. The game had a closed beta test last month before its wider release.

Bounce, collect fruits, and climb your way through colorful caves

I recently discovered this super cute game called POINPY, and I’m hooked! It’s a 2D platformer where you’re constantly climbing upwards through these bright, colorful caves. The whole point is to collect fruit and make juice for this little creature that’s always following you – it’s like a mix of skillful jumping and a gentle race against time. It’s really fun trying to keep ahead and make sure the creature gets fed!

The game is simple to learn with controls designed for one hand. You’ll jump between platforms, do flips, and collect fruit while dodging creatures in ever-changing levels. As you play, you can find helpful power-ups – like the Octobub that attracts nearby fruit, or the Snail Clock which temporarily slows down time.

I’m really looking forward to discovering the secret areas that unlock the difficult Puzzle Mode. Plus, completing the game opens up Endless Mode for even more fun! It’s great to have POINPY back – the cute graphics, enjoyable gameplay, quick levels, and random level generation all add up to a really fun experience.
