People recently saw Sacha Baron Cohen dressed as his famous character, Ali G, at the Wimbledon tennis tournament. This has led to speculation that he’s quietly filming a new movie featuring Ali G, the persona he played in Da Ali G Show.
The rumors were confirmed: Amazon MGM Studios announced the project’s title and when it will be released.
The new Ali G movie, Who Iz I?, comes out in theaters on October 23rd, and that release date applies to both the United Kingdom and the United States.
This film is the second collaboration between Sacha Baron Cohen and Amazon MGM Studios, following Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Like this new release, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm was announced and released very quickly – and, coincidentally, also came out on October 23rd, though it premiered directly on streaming platforms due to the pandemic.
This marks the first time Sacha Baron Cohen has directed a full-length movie on his own; he typically collaborates with another director.

Even though the video isn’t available yet, Cohen announced the release date and title on Instagram, throwing in his signature phrases “Booyakasha” and “West Siiiiiiiiiiide” for good measure.
