VALORANT is bringing back the Reaver skin collection with a fresh update – version 3.0. This update includes a new butterfly knife melee weapon and a completely new skin for the Bandit weapon.
Riot Games isn’t bringing back old VALORANT bundles this year. Instead, they’re releasing a brand new set of Reaver skins – the 3.0 collection. This bundle is special because it includes a skin for Bandit, one of the newest weapons added to the game.
Reaver 3.0 is coming to VALORANT
VALORANT players can look forward to the return of the Reaver skin line with the 3.0 bundle. This collection will include a new butterfly knife melee weapon and a fresh skin for the Bandit, which was first released in early 2026.
The new bundle will be available in the shop shortly. We don’t have the release date or price yet. Based on the trailer, it looks like the bundle will include the two skins that were featured, and will probably also have extras like a player card and gun buddies.
Previous bundles
Okay, so the Reaver skins are super popular – everyone wants them! There have been a bunch released over time, and there have been two main bundles so far. Both of them cost 7,100 VP, and here’s what you get in each…
- Reaver (EP 1, 2020)
- Sheriff
- Guardian
- Vandal
- Operator
- Melee
- Reaver (EP 5, 2022)
- Ghost
- Spectre
- Phantom
- Odin
- Melee (Karambit)
Several weapons in VALORANT, including the Outlaw, Classic, Shorty, Frenzy, Stinger, Bucky, Judge, Bulldog, Marshal, and Ares, still don’t have Reaver skins. It appears the Reaver 3.0 update won’t add any more weapon skins to the game in 2026 beyond the butterfly and bandit designs.
Community reaction to the new Reaver 3.0 bundle
A common question about the Reaver 3.0 bundle is why it only includes two skins. Most VALORANT bundles, except for the ‘Run it Back’ collections, typically feature four or five.
Some VALORANT players are wondering why a new Reaver skin bundle is being released when two versions already exist. While butterfly knife designs are consistently popular in first-person shooter games – including VALORANT – some feel the quality of recent skins and their animations isn’t as good as before. One player asked, “Why aren’t the animations as smooth and detailed as those in the RGX and Champions 2022 bundles?”
Although a few players like the skin within the game itself, the comments on the preview post are mostly negative.
