Last week, Liam Gallagher reportedly joined a New York court hearing remotely as part of his ongoing and contentious legal dispute with the mother of his child.
Noel Gallagher, 53, has a 12-year-old daughter named Gemma that he’s never met. Gemma’s mother is music journalist Liza Ghorbani, and they had a short relationship in 2010.
In 2013, Liam faced a legal battle to determine if he was the father of his daughter when her mother sued him for £2 million in child support.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the details of Liam and Liza’s situation, and things are getting increasingly tense. In their recent court appearance, Liam alleged that Liza wasn’t handling the funds intended for their daughter responsibly. Liza, in turn, accused him of speaking negatively about her to others. It’s a really difficult situation, and clearly, trust is a major issue between them.
She’s asking for an increase in the annual financial support she receives from the singer to help cover the costs of care and education for Gemma, who is autistic and has specific learning requirements.
Okay, so I’m hearing that Liza is reaching out to Liam – you know, the Brit pop star who just wrapped up a massively successful tour, reportedly bringing in around £350 million! – and she’s asking for some pretty significant financial help. Specifically, she needs about £75,000 a year to cover nanny costs, around £22,500 a month for housing, and another £5,000 to make sure the kids have some great family holidays. It’s a big ask, but understandable given the costs of everything these days!
He reportedly paid about £3,000 each month, totaling £750,000 since 2015. This information came to light during a court hearing in June 2025, related to a private agreement reached that year.
Liza has requested a court order to examine the celebrity’s financial records, specifically his earnings from the recent tour, as reported by The Sun.
Daily Mail have contacted Liam Gallagher’s representatives for comment.
Liam had been fined before for not showing up to court, and he confessed he hadn’t seen his daughter, but said he’d be there for her if she needed assistance.
He has had a tumultuous love life that has resulted in four children from various relationships.
He has three children: 27-year-old Molly from a short relationship with singer Lisa Moorish, 26-year-old Lennon with his ex-wife Patsy Kensit, and 24-year-old Gene with ex-wife Nicole.
Liam is engaged to Debbie Gwyther, his colleague and co-manager, who is 40 years old. They seem to be in a happy and stable relationship.
This news follows an announcement by Liam’s ex-wife, Patsy, that she is auctioning off diamond earrings he gave her while they were together.
Patsy married the Oasis frontman in 1997, but they split in 2000 just months after Lennon’s birth.
Patsy explained she’s set a minimum price of £10,000 for the jewelry and wants to sell the earrings to someone who will truly appreciate them.
The actor, known for their role in Emmerdale, has entrusted TV antiques expert Tom Keane with some items for auction at The Swan Hotel in Tetsworth, Oxfordshire, next month.
She previously wore the earrings to an awards event in 1999.
She acknowledged that things are financially difficult right now, and many actors, including herself, are having to cut back on spending.
Patsy told The Sun On Sunday that she wasn’t the first woman to sell jewelry from an ex-partner, and she hoped the earrings would end up with someone who appreciated them.
The actress revealed she hasn’t had contact with her son’s father, Liam, in 26 years, despite being a parent together.
Oh my god, I was dying when Patsy was on Never Mind The Buzzcocks! They asked her if she’d been to any of the Oasis reunion gigs, and honestly, I was holding my breath waiting for her answer. Like, PLEASE tell me she was there! It would have been the ultimate fan moment, seeing her in the crowd with Liam and Noel… I was so invested in that question, it was ridiculous!
She explained that she saw everything happen and thought it was wonderful, recalling those memories fondly. She also mentioned she hadn’t seen Liam in 26 years.
I’m really thrilled for Lennon that he gets to experience this amazing cultural moment. And I couldn’t be more pleased for the band and everyone who’s reconnecting with their music.
