Helen Mirren is almost unrecognizable as she portrays Patricia Highsmith in the upcoming film, A Talent for Murder. The movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and a first look at Mirren’s transformation has been revealed.
“A Talent for Murder” is a suspenseful, atmospheric thriller. The story centers on a young literary agent, played by Alden Ehrenreich, who tries to persuade the author of “The Talented Mr. Ripley” to write another book in the series.
Directed by Anton Corbijn, the film is based on the 2014 play Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith.

Troy Lum and Andrew Mason from Brouhaha, Jim Robison and Kurt Martin from Lunar Pictures, Carolyn Marks Blackwood of Magnola Mae Films, Karl Spoerri from Zurich Avenue, and Andrea Occhipinti of Lucky Red are all also producing the project.
