Future & Robert Nava Rework the COMME des GARÇONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor

Summary

Okay, so I just found out Future teamed up with COMME des GARÇONS PLAY and Converse, and it’s AMAZING! You can pre-order them right now, but only at Dover Street Market. It’s a limited release – only 300 pairs of these black and white Chuck Taylor 70s are being made, and they’re $295. But get this – the first 30 people who order will get a signed copy of Future’s album, The Real Me! Seriously, I’m trying to be one of those first 30!

After first appearing in Paris last month, Future’s collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS PLAY and Converse – featuring art by Robert Nava – is now available for pre-order only at a special Dover Street Market online store.

Future and COMME des GARÇONS PLAY launched a limited-edition sneaker collaboration on June 27th at Dover Street Market Paris with a special pop-up event. Only 300 pairs were made, featuring the classic Chuck Taylor design combined with artwork from Future’s album, The Real Me. The first 30 customers who ordered also received a signed copy of the album.

The designs feature artwork by Robert Nava, an artist famous for his bold and somewhat rough depictions of angels, dragons, and fantastical creatures. Nava, who lives and works in Brooklyn, uses simple shapes, energetic brushwork, and a deliberately childlike style to create a modern take on mythology, influenced by ancient cave paintings, Egyptian art, and even cartoons. This unique and dynamic visual style gives both the sneakers and the album artwork a feeling of both fantasy and danger.

You can now pre-order exclusively online at Dover Street Market. The item is available in black and white for $295 each, but supplies are very limited.
