DIGIMON UP Beginners Guide and Tips

Digimon Up is a new role-playing game from Bandai Namco where you raise and train Digimon. You’ll help them evolve and battle tougher and tougher opponents. While it sounds fun, the game has a lot of different features that can be confusing for new players.

DIGIMON UP Gameplay Basics

Here’s what combat looks like

I’m really liking how easy it is to play DIGIMON UP! A lot of mobile RPGs make you tap the screen for every attack, but this one is different. It has an idle battle system, which means once a fight starts, my Digimon just battles on their own while I can focus on things like leveling up and getting ready for the next challenge. Plus, every time I finish a stage, I get tons of useful rewards!

Playing through levels in DIGIMON UP earns you Hologram Tickets. These tickets let you upgrade your gear and boost your character’s strength. Since the game isn’t about quick reactions, having high strength is what lets you advance further.

Raise your Partner Digimon

The main focus of DIGIMON UP is building a strong bond with a single Partner Digimon. Instead of collecting lots of different Digimon, you’ll spend your time raising and strengthening one. As you play, your chosen Digimon will grow more powerful and eventually Digivolve into even stronger forms.

Build a stronger team with Support Digimon and Skill Cards

Your main Digimon doesn’t fight alone! DIGIMON UP includes features to make your team stronger, starting with Support Digimon. These companions give your Digimon stat boosts and help out in battle. You can equip up to five Support Digimon at the same time.

Next, let’s look at Skill Cards. These cards represent your partner’s battle skills and let you tailor your fighting style with various attacks and support options. Similar to Support Digimon, Skill Cards come in different rarities, from Normal (N) to EX+, and you can equip up to five at a time.

Complete dungeons, events, and daily activities

In addition to the main story, DIGIMON UP has lots of daily things you can do to get helpful items. These include Daily Missions, Weekly Missions, Battle Pass rewards, special events that don’t last forever, and different dungeon levels where you can earn materials to make your Digimon stronger. You can also watch a few ads each day to get extra summon tickets, access more dungeons, or speed up training and upgrades.

DIGIMON UP Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks to Remember

1. Focus on one main team first

Okay, so as someone who’s played a lot of this game, I’ve learned the hard way that it’s a big mistake to try and level up every single Support Digimon you get. It’s super fun collecting them, don’t get me wrong! But you quickly run out of the stuff you need to upgrade them. What I wish I’d known from the start is to really focus on building up one main team early on. That way, you don’t spread your resources too thin and actually make solid progress!

It’s usually better to focus on developing a few strong Digimon rather than collecting many weak ones. Once you have a steady source of resources, you can start training more Digimon to handle different challenges.

2. Use Digivolution whenever possible

While leveling up makes your Digimon stronger, Digivolution gives a much bigger boost to its fighting ability. Whenever possible, focus on evolving your Digimon because the evolved forms have better stats, fight more effectively, and will be more valuable in the long run.

3. Complete your missions consistently

Like many mobile role-playing games, DIGIMON UP gives players rewards for completing daily activities. These missions are a great way to power up your Digimon without spending real money. You’ll typically earn things like materials to improve your Digimon, items to summon new ones, and experience points – all things you’ll need a lot of!

4. Leveling up your Hologram Device

The Hologram Device is the quickest way to boost your Digimon’s strength in Digimon UP. Every time you use it, you’ll receive a piece of equipment that you can either equip to improve your stats or sell. Upgrading the Hologram Device itself will give you access to even better equipment, helping you become more powerful.

Final Thoughts

DIGIMON UP is a fun mobile game that’s easy to pick up and play. If you’re just starting out, the best strategy is to build one strong team of Digimon. Focus on helping them evolve, complete daily tasks, and be smart about how you use your in-game items. It can be tempting to try upgrading all your Digimon at once, but you’ll progress faster if you concentrate on a select few.
