A new version of Scary Movie 6 is officially releasing on digital this week.
The latest Scary Movie is now available digitally, and its release follows a somewhat rocky theatrical run. This is the first installment in the series since 2013’s Scary Movie 5, and it playfully spoofs horror films released over the past thirteen years. While critics weren’t impressed – it currently has a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 134 reviews – audiences enjoyed it enough to make it a box office hit.
An extended cut of the 2026 film Scary Movie will be available for digital purchase starting Tuesday, July 21st at midnight Eastern Time. While the listing currently shows a runtime of 96 minutes – the same as the original theatrical release – the description hints at added scenes. These could be new parodies of other movies or more moments featuring the Ghostface character, continuing the film’s tradition of spoofing slasher films.
