Roy Keane was brutally honest about the half-time show at the World Cup final on Sunday night.
The 54-year-old sports commentator made his fellow panelists laugh when he called the concert disappointing, but then playfully noted, ‘It was still good to see Shakira.’
Shakira performed at the Super Bowl halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, alongside Madonna, Justin Bieber, and the Muppets.
The 49-year-old singer showed off her fit physique while performing her song “Dai Dai” with Burna Boy, wearing a sparkly pink and yellow outfit.
Roy admitted it wasn’t quite as exciting as he’d hoped, though he believed the fans at the stadium likely had a better time. He did add that it was good to see Shakira.
His remark made Gary Neville, Ian Wright, and the show’s host, Mark Pougatch, all laugh.
Ian agreed with Roy, saying the person they were discussing seemed a bit down and could have brought more energy to the situation.
Gary admitted he enjoyed the first half and expressed hope that the second half would be even more energetic and exciting.

The celebrity seemed at ease as he strolled onto the field and then began singing his popular song, finishing with a celebratory shout of ‘It’s the World Cup, Hallelujah!’
