Lottie Moss has shared that she’s been buying counterfeit designer bags since leaving her successful career on OnlyFans.
The 28-year-old model, who previously made around £30,000 a month working on an adult website, recently shared a TikTok video from her trip to Thailand, displaying the items she bought.
Lottie admitted to buying three fake designer handbags from local markets. These included copies of an expensive Balenciaga Le City bag (worth £2,200), a Chanel classic flap bag (worth £8,850), and a Louis Vuitton makeup case (worth £950).
Many fans might be surprised by this discovery, considering Lottie previously worked with Chanel. She modeled in their 2016 Paris Cosmopolite fashion show and was the face of Karl Lagerfeld’s eyewear campaign in 2017.
Interestingly, 52-year-old supermodel Kate has modeled for all three of these high-end brands. She even played a key role in creating the popular Balenciaga Le City bag.
Kate saw an early version of the oversized, relaxed bag and asked the head designer, Nicolas Ghesquière, to make her one. This helped launch one of the most memorable bags of the early 2000s.
Kate has also starred in campaigns for Chanel and walked in multiple Louis Vuitton shows.
Lottie shared with her followers that she wanted to talk about incredibly realistic-looking counterfeit products from Thailand. She admitted being impressed with their quality, saying they ‘genuinely look so real’ and that she was ‘obsessed’ with them.
The model, whose father Peter Moss she shares with Kate and whose mother is his second wife, Inger, said she was leaving OnlyFans for good last February, even though she was reportedly earning £30,000 a month from the platform.
She excitedly held up the imitation black Chanel handbag and exclaimed, “I love this! I’ve always dreamed of owning a Chanel bag, but I just can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on one.”
I’m really impressed with this – it seems incredibly authentic. I almost can’t believe it! I think it’s fantastic, and the inside especially confirms it for me. It’s a perfect match – that’s amazing!
When she looked inside, she noticed something disappointing: ‘Sometimes you open something up and it’s clearly made with really cheap materials, and it’s just obvious from the start.’
One viewer wasn’t happy with her purchases, leaving a comment on the video that called one of the items a ‘terrible fake Chanel’.
Lottie showed off her imitation Louis Vuitton makeup bag, playfully admitting it wasn’t the real thing but saying she didn’t mind.
She admitted it was cute and had a pink interior, but didn’t seem to mind that real ones are red, saying, ‘I really don’t care.’
She said she bought the Balenciaga Le City bag for her mother, who had always wanted one but didn’t want to spend so much money on the authentic version.
‘My mum’s not really bougie like that, which we love. Humble queen.’
At the height of her success on OnlyFans last year, Lottie was earning over £30,000 each month before deciding to stop creating content.
Even though she left a well-paying job – one that earned her over $100,000 a year – she reports feeling happier now with her current career path than she ever has before.
I’ve been following her journey for a while now, and it was so interesting to learn she signed up for that subscription platform back in 2021. Honestly, she’d really grown tired of traditional modelling. It seemed like she was always being compared to her sister, Kate, who’s a huge supermodel, and she felt overshadowed by her success. It was great to see her take control and find a new path!
Lottie has shared that when she was a model, she often received hurtful comments telling her she wasn’t good enough and would never reach the level of Kate Moss.
Although her sister, Kate, is estimated to be worth over £50 million, Lottie had a more humble upbringing in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
In 2023, Lottie explained that her family didn’t have much money growing up. They lived in a small two-bedroom house, and her parents had once declared bankruptcy. Her sister didn’t provide financial support during her childhood either.
Lottie’s decision to create an OnlyFans account caused a rift with her family, and her mother stopped speaking to her for several weeks as a result.
This decision also created tension with Kate, and the sisters have always had a complex relationship.
Lottie surprised everyone by announcing she was quitting OnlyFans, explaining that she felt she was moving past that phase of her life and embracing adulthood. She simply stated that when she’s ready to stop, she will.
