A new update for the Marvel Snap Spotlight Cache is arriving in July 2026, and we now know which cards and characters are coming to the game! This update’s theme is based on the upcoming Marvel movie, Spiderman: Brand New Day, and will feature several characters from the Spiderman universe. We’re expecting more than 8 new cards to be added.
Okay, so I’ve been digging around in all the leaks and data mines, and here’s what I’ve found about the upcoming July Spotlight Cache cards in Marvel Snap. Just a heads-up though – none of this is 100% confirmed! A lot of these cards might not actually make it into the final game. Also, the costs and power levels I’ve seen are probably still subject to change when the cards finally release. Take everything with a grain of salt, but it’s still exciting to see what might be coming!
Marvel Snap July 2026 Spotlight Cache Version Update: Details about the Upcoming Cards
Okay, so let’s talk about the new cards coming to the game – I’m excited about what the shop and Season Pass will offer! They’re also introducing a new keyword called Moveable. Basically, it’s like the ‘Move’ ability we already know, but they’ve really polished it up and made it more complex, which should open up some cool new strategies.
The Sinister Six
The first card in this set is the Sinister Six, a well-known team of six villains who fight Spider-Man. The team includes Mysterio, Vulture, Dr. Octopus, Sandman, Electro, and Craven the Hunter. This card costs 6 to play and has a starting power of 12. When you begin the game, the first six cards you draw will be villain cards. Once you’ve played those six, combine them into this Sinister Six card, and then place it wherever the last of those villain cards was located.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Get ready for Spider-Man! The “Brand New Day” card only costs 1 to play and has a power of 2. You can move it up to two times. Whenever you move it to a location, give another card already there +1 power – even if that card hasn’t been revealed yet. This card works especially well in decks focused on boosting the power of your cards.
Scorpion: Spider-Man Brand New Day
Next up is the Scorpion card, which looks fantastic and really captures his appearance from the movie. This card costs 6 to play and has a power of 8. Its special ability continuously doubles the amount of power reduced on all of your opponent’s cards, making it a strong choice for decks focused on weakening enemies.
Spider-Sense
Spider-Sense is a new skill that costs 5 to play. When you play it, all your characters get +2 power. It’s also cheaper to use if you’ve already played cards that can be moved – it costs 1 less for each of those cards. If you build a deck focused on moving cards, you might even be able to play Spider-Sense for free!
Tarantula
The Tarantula is another powerful card designed to challenge Spider-Man. It costs 2 to play and has a power of 2. As an End of Turn card, it boosts its own power and the power of two cards in your hand by 2, but only if it currently has the highest power among all cards in play. This card works well in decks featuring Invisible Woman and Jocasta.
Mary Jane
Following Spider-Man, we have Mary Jane! She’s a 3-cost, 3-powered card that boosts the power of any of your cards that moved this turn by +1. This effect happens at the end of each turn, making her a fantastic addition to decks focused on card movement.
Aunt May
This special collection features cards of Spider-Man’s closest allies, and it makes me think we might see a similar focus on his supporting characters in a future movie. Only time will reveal if that happens.
Okay, so they just revealed the new Aunt May card, and I’m really excited about it! It costs 2 energy to play and has a power of 3. It’s another End of Turn card, which means it triggers at the end of your turn. The cool thing is, if you’ve used a card with a ‘move’ ability during your turn, you get to reduce the cost of a moveable card in your hand by 1 and boost its power by 2! That’s a pretty sweet bonus.
Boomerang
The Boomerang is a card that costs 2 to play and has 2 power. When you use its ability, it goes back to your hand and randomly reduces the power of four cards in your opponent’s hand. It’s a great addition to Scorpion: Spider-Man Brand New Day decks.
Tombstone
The final card in this series is Tombstone, a much-anticipated addition to Marvel Snap. Players have been discussing its potential for a long time, and it looks like it’s finally being added to the game. Tombstone has a power of 3 and costs 2 energy to play. When revealed, it destroys the card with the lowest power at each location.
