Paris Hilton reveals friendship status with Lindsay Lohan after calling her ‘lame’ amid years-long feud

Paris Hilton recently opened up about where she stands with Lindsay Lohan, following years of conflict between them.

The 44-year-old TV star, who recently praised her close friend and idol Britney Spears, discussed the subject on Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan had a public falling out that began around 2006, with both celebrities making critical comments about each other.

In 2019, Nicole Richie publicly criticized Lindsay Lohan, calling her actions ‘lame’ and ’embarrassing.’ However, it appears they’ve moved past the disagreement and are on good terms now.

Cohen saw a fan question asking if Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan had spoken or reconnected now that Lohan is back in the public eye.

‘Yes,’ Hilton replied, before revealing, ‘We are planning to get the kids together.’ 

The star continued, ‘I’m so happy for her. She is glowing.’ 

Hilton is mom to son Phoenix, three, and London, two, whom she shares with husband Carter Reum. 

The actress also welcomed a son named Luai in July 2023 with her husband Bader Shammas. 

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton shared their thoughts, with Richards describing Lindsay Lohan as ‘very sweet’.

The conflict between these two women appears to have started in 2006 when the actress began dating Stavros Niarchos, who had previously been in a relationship with Hilton.

When Lindsay Lohan started dating Stavros Niarchos, Paris Hilton’s friend, Brandon Davis, publicly insulted Lohan, calling her a vulgar name. E! News reported that Hilton seemed to find it amusing, laughing while on the phone nearby.

Honestly, I was surprised when Davis apologized to both Lohan and Hilton. But afterward, Hilton’s publicist quickly clarified things to TMZ, saying it wasn’t right to assume Brandon’s comments represented how Paris actually feels about Lindsay. They really wanted to make that clear.

The publicist also explained that Davis was doing the talking, and claimed Hilton often uses her phone to deflect questions from reporters.

You know, after that whole thing happened, Lindsay Lohan actually talked about it with Elle magazine. She was pretty clear – she said she doesn’t plan on ever watching that video. It’s totally understandable – sometimes you just need to protect your peace and move on, and that’s exactly what she’s doing.

Lohan also pointed out Hilton seemed very at ease on camera, a comment referencing the widely publicized sex tape that surfaced when Hilton was 19.

Lohan also claimed that Hilton had hit and spilled a drink on her amid their ongoing public feud. 

Hilton claims that Lindsay Lohan unexpectedly showed up while she was out with her friend Britney Spears in November 2006.

Oh my gosh, I still have those photos saved everywhere! It was just… everything. Seeing Paris in the driver’s seat, and him right there with her after the party… it was a moment. A moment, I tell you! I’ve probably stared at those pictures a million times, trying to figure out what they were thinking. It was pure magic.

Lohan unexpectedly showed up and hopped into the car, and it was all caught on video. The actress sat in the passenger seat, with the singer of “…Baby One More Time” in the back.

I remember Lindsay approaching as we were getting into the car. It was a bit awkward because we were already dealing with some personal issues at the time, as I mentioned on my podcast in 2021.

As Hilton started to leave with Spears, Lohan walked up to the car. This led Hilton to ask the paparazzi nearby to ask Lohan about the gossip that was circulating.

Lindsay denied any wrongdoing, stating, “Paris would never hurt me, we’ve been friends since I was fifteen.” Essentially, she refused to acknowledge her own actions.

Hilton admitted it felt strange when she was asked about the situation, and the whole thing was just odd. She suddenly noticed the other person was in her car, even though they weren’t on good terms, she remained courteous.

But the pair continued to make public jibes at each other amid their on-and-off friendship. 

During a 2019 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Cohen challenged Paris Hilton to name three positive things about Lindsay Lohan.

The TV personality described the person as ‘terrible’ and then, after a moment, added that they were also ‘lame and embarrassing’.

I remember Paris Hilton being on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen a few years back, around 2022, and she shared some really good news about how things were going with the actress – it was lovely to hear they were in a positive place!

She explained that they’d both matured and were moving on. With her recent marriage and her friend’s engagement, they were no longer teenagers and the previous drama felt childish. Now, everything was okay.

Hilton also shared that the pair had ‘reconnected’ at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party.

According to Page Six, Paris Hilton recently shared on TalkShopLive that she reconnected with the actress a few months ago at an after-Oscars party.

The celebrity said they had a lovely time catching up with the other mom, adding that she looked beautiful and seemed very happy.

Hilton publicly congratulated Lohan both when she got engaged in 2021 and again when she announced her pregnancy in 2023.

The TV personality has also been keeping busy this month to celebrate her latest project.

Oh my gosh, she finally released it! Her new documentary, ‘Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir,’ is out in theaters now – it premiered on January 30th, and I was there, of course! I’ve been waiting forever to see it, and it’s even more amazing than I imagined.

The film charts her musical evolution, starting with her childhood aspirations and teenage experiences, then following her through her first album and subsequent artistic changes. It combines live concert footage with personal, behind-the-scenes moments, old clips, never-before-released home videos, narration, and new interviews, according to an official description.

Paris Hilton has released two albums and 19 singles so far in her music career.

The former star of The Simple Life also mentioned she’s been talking to Britney Spears about the possibility of collaborating on some upbeat, enjoyable music.
