Okay, awesome news for mobile gamers! FDG Entertainment just announced that Monster Boy, that really fun action-adventure game, is coming to iOS! I’ve been a fan of the series for ages, and it originally came out back in 2019 on other platforms. You can actually pre-order it now, and it’ll set you back about $24.99. Game Atelier developed it, so you know it’s good!

Get ready to explore a vast Monster World, transform, and beat mighty bosses

Monster Boy is a colorful, action-packed adventure game made with Ryuichi Nishizawa, the famous creator of the classic Wonder Boy in Monster World series. Originally called Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, it captures the charm of the original games while offering a fresh, beautifully hand-drawn experience, and it’s fantastic!

Monster Boy is now available on iPhone and looks fantastic on its beautiful, widescreen display! We’re considering releasing it on Apple’s macOS and tvOS platforms at the same time as iOS – what do you think?

In this game, you take on the role of Jin, a hero tasked with saving the Monster World from dangerous foes. As you journey through colorful landscapes and discover secret areas, you’ll unlock six different forms, each offering unique abilities for both fighting and navigating the world. These forms also allow you to access previously unreachable areas filled with tough bosses and valuable rewards, such as powerful gear.

The game seems really fun and engaging, with over 15 hours of adventure in a large, connected world. It features beautiful hand-drawn animations, expressive characters, and works with a variety of controllers, including Xbox, PlayStation, and MFi. Plus, the music is composed by famous Japanese artists. My biggest worry is the price, so I’m hoping the developers offer a discount when the game releases.
