Move Over Wednesday, Emma Myers’ Best Teen TV Show Just Returned For Season 2

While many know Emma Myers from her role as Enid Sinclair in Wednesday, her truly standout teen TV show recently launched its second season, making now a great time to discover this captivating murder mystery. Myers has appeared in various TV shows and films, but she became widely recognized after playing Enid – Wednesday Addams’ cheerful and colorful best friend. Enid is a fantastic addition to Wednesday, providing a bright contrast to the show’s darker themes and adding a lot of energy and fun.

Emma Myers’ performance is key to the show’s success. She portrays Enid’s insecurities with depth and subtlety, avoiding the typical, overdone teenage angst often seen on TV. When Enid is joyful, Myers brings a delightful energy to the screen. This is especially clear in the second season, where she hilariously imitates Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday in a Freaky Fridayinspired episode. However, viewers can truly appreciate Myers’ full range as an actress in her other teen drama, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder*, which allows her to showcase her dramatic skills like never before.

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder Is Back For Season 2

The teen mystery A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder follows Pippa Fitz-Amobi, nicknamed Pip, as she reopens the case of her classmate Andie Bell, who was murdered five years prior. Pip wants to prove that Andie’s boyfriend, Sal Singh, was wrongly accused, as he was always kind to her. Throughout the first season, Pip uncovers a complex and shocking truth filled with betrayals, hidden secrets, and the actions of a wealthy and dangerous rapist named Max Hastings.

I was hooked from the very beginning of Season 2! It jumps right back into the story where we left off, with Max Hastings finally going on trial. I really wanted to see him found guilty, but things got complicated when Jaymie Reynolds, a key witness, disappeared. So, naturally, I started digging into where she went. Honestly, Season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is even more gripping than the first! Emma Myers is already amazing, but this season really gives her a chance to show off her incredible talent. I’m completely invested!

Emma Myers Gives A Powerhouse Performance As Pippa Fitz-Amobi

I’ve been a fan of Emma Myers for a while now, especially her work in Wednesday. But honestly, she’s incredible as Pip. The character isn’t super talkative, but Emma doesn’t play her as one-dimensional at all. You can see Pip constantly processing things, figuring stuff out, and connecting the dots. Just watching Emma’s performance, you instantly get the sense that Pip’s mind is always racing.

I’m really captivated by this character! She’s got such a strong moral compass and consistently stands up for the little things that everyone else ignores. She doesn’t shy away from challenging people, even if it makes things awkward. It’s also interesting because she clearly struggles with seeing things in shades of gray, gets really focused on specific things, and isn’t always the best at reading social cues. But what’s cool is that throughout the season, she seems to really embrace who she is, flaws and all. Honestly, the whole first season feels like watching her grow up, and the actress, Myers, nails it perfectly!

Throughout the second season, Janine’s personality becomes much more pronounced. She becomes completely focused on Max’s case, and her involvement in Jamie’s trial takes over her whole life. Unlike before, when she tried to maintain her friendships and stay calm, she fully immerses herself in the drama, becoming increasingly overwhelmed as the season progresses. She’s more direct and less patient, and Emma Myers’ powerful performance makes every emotional moment with Pip incredibly gripping for viewers.

Emma Myers delivers a truly captivating performance in season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. She perfectly portrays a compelling mix of desperation and pain, using her voice and body language to create incredibly moving scenes – I was moved to tears by at least three! While young adult dramas are often overlooked by awards shows, Myers’ performance is definitely award-worthy, and fans of her previous work won’t want to miss it.
