Netflix has dropped a new trailer for season 3 of The Night Agent. This season, Peter Sutherland is on a dangerous worldwide mission to track down a former government operative. Picking up after the dramatic events of season 2, the new episodes show Peter caught in a conspiracy that could destabilize the entire U.S. government.
Season 3 continues the story after the dramatic events of The Night Agent season 2, where Peter found himself deeper involved in risky intelligence work and political secrets. Based on Matthew Quirk’s book and created for TV by Shawn Ryan, the show has become a popular action thriller on Netflix, known for its mix of spy action, conspiracies, and the personal challenges Peter faces as he navigates the hidden world of government operations.
Season 3 of The Night Agent follows Peter Sutherland as he’s tasked with finding a Treasury Agent who’s gone on the run to Istanbul with top-secret information after a murder. This leads Peter into a dangerous investigation of a shadowy financial network and its hired killers. He teams up with a determined journalist, and together they expose long-hidden secrets and old conflicts that could destroy the government – and put their lives at risk.

The trailer for The Night Agent season 3 hints at a season filled with even more intense action. Peter is on a dangerous hunt, uncovering worldwide conspiracies and forming uncertain alliances. The show appears set to deliver the thrilling suspense, impressive visuals, and character development fans have enjoyed so far.
Gabriel Basso is back as Peter Sutherland for the next season of The Night Agent, along with the rest of the main cast, including Louis Herthum, Stephen Moyer, Callum Vinson, David Lyons, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Jennifer Morrison, Albert Jones, Ward Horton, and Genesis Rodriguez. The new season promises to make things even more complicated for Peter, both in his personal relationships and in terms of where his loyalties lie.
Fans will notice that Luciane Buchanan’s character, Rose Larkin – who was Peter’s love interest – isn’t in season 3. While Rose was a popular character and important in previous seasons, Peter broke things off with her at the end of season 2 when he was arrested, and asked her to stay away.

I’m really excited about the future of The Night Agent! The showrunner has hinted that even after Peter Sutherland’s story wraps up, the show could go on with new Night Agents taking the lead. It’s smart how they’ve built the series around the whole Night Agent organization, not just one character. That means they can easily switch to a new protagonist if they want, and it sounds like the writers might even be planning a bit of a break after season three, so a new lead could be perfect timing. I’m hoping this means the show can run for a long time!
As the release of The Night Agent season 3 gets closer, viewers will soon find out how Peter’s newest assignment pushes his dedication and resilience to the breaking point. The upcoming episodes hint at escalating conspiracies and revealed secrets, promising to test not only the character of Peter, but also the core principles of power and honesty.
The Night Agent season 3 premieres February 19, only on Netflix.
