Because The Spider is the sole costumed hero in this universe, Cat Hardy doesn’t wear the traditional Black Cat suit seen in the comics.

Cat Hardy’s character embraces the classic noir style with several detailed dresses, perfectly capturing Black Cat’s seductive and dangerous persona from the comics. Spider-Noir brings Hardy’s Black Cat and Cage’s Spider-Man together, offering fans a live-action version of their popular Marvel pairing for the very first time. Hardy plays a vital role in the story, and just like in the comics where her character forms a band called The Black Cats, she’s portrayed as a singer in Spider-Noir.

How Spider-Noir’s Black Cat Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Anti-Hero?

Li’s portrayal of Cat Hardy shares a similar personality to the beloved Black Cat from the comics. However, the visual design is quite different from the original character. Unlike the comic book version, who typically wears a black bodysuit and a white wig, Li’s costume doesn’t include those elements. Additionally, Li is a Chinese-American actress, a departure from the traditionally white portrayal of Felicia Hardy.

After years of requests from fans, Cat Hardy finally gets a significant role in a Spider-Man project, but this version of Black Cat is different.
