Summary

Konstantin Chaykin has added a new, charming watch to his Wristmons collection: the “Matroskin” Limited Edition. This timepiece is inspired by the popular Russian cartoon cat from Three from Prostokvashino. Chaykin, known for his creative and fun watch designs, combines skilled craftsmanship with storytelling. Like other Wristmons watches, the “Matroskin” features a dial that displays an animated character’s face, making it both technically impressive and appealing to fans.

This 40mm stainless steel watch beautifully captures the spirit of a striped cat through its unique design. For the first time in the Wristmon series, the cat’s whiskers are created using a detailed, raised pattern that flows from the watch face onto the surrounding case.

The watch case is uniquely designed with ears shaped like a cat’s, and a single crown keeps the overall look sleek and balanced. Instead of traditional hands, the time is shown by the changing eyes of a Joker character on the dial, and a crescent-shaped “smile” displays the moon phase. A special, striped leather strap completes the watch’s distinctive design.

The Matroskin watch features an automatic movement called Caliber K.18-27, which is a modified version of the La Joux-Perret G200, built specifically for Konstantin Chaykin. This limited-edition watch, of which only 55 will be made, is available for purchase through Konstantin Chaykin’s website and retailers for around $25,000.
