Nissan is expanding its renowned Omori Factory expertise worldwide. They’ve announced the first international Nismo Performance Centers, beginning with a major location at a dealership in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, Australia. Opening in late 2026, this facility will offer specialized restoration and upgrade services for Skyline owners right in Australia. This is a significant step for Nissan’s performance division, providing official factory-level support for classic R32, R33, and R34 models.

The program is launching in Australia because of the country’s strong car modification scene and large number of classic cars. Currently, Australia receives about 36% of all R34 GT-R exports worldwide and 20% of R33 exports. Yutaka Sanada, the CEO of Nismo, announced this at the GT-R Festival in Sydney. He explained that the Australian market really wants genuine parts and exciting experiences related to motorsports, which is why Nismo is expanding there.

Nismo fans will soon have much easier access to original parts for classic cars. Finding rare components like engine blocks and crankshafts used to be difficult, requiring complicated import procedures. Now, owners can work directly with Nismo experts – factory-trained and based in Australia – who specialize in high-quality restorations. This program guarantees that both cars originally sold in Australia and those privately imported will be restored and maintained with authentic parts.

The launch in Melbourne is the first step in a larger plan to expand across the region. Nissan intends to bring this performance network to other key cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Auckland. According to Nissan Oceania managing director Steve Milette, this program strengthens connections with devoted fans by reaching them directly. By focusing on preserving classic models, Nissan hopes to ensure its most iconic performance cars remain popular with a new generation of enthusiasts.
