HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, called “Encore for an Old Dream,” will be released on February 6, 2026. This update follows the events of Season 2 and includes the Gilded Carrot Day festival, the debut of the Angels of Delusion idol group, new playable characters, and a variety of new events.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6 returns to Sixth Street with a heartfelt story

As the annual Gilded Carrot Day nears, New Eridu is filled with festivities, but a feeling of unease remains. In the 2.6 update, the Phaethon siblings take on a critical job involving a forbidden artificial intelligence, leading them back to Sixth Street and a reunion with Jane Doe.

Okay, so I’m seriously hyped for Angels of Delusion! They’re getting ready for their first live show at the legendary 404 Error music venue, which is awesome. What really gets me is how well they coordinate their attacks during performances – it’s super cool. I’m also really looking forward to meeting the new Agents they’re bringing along.

ZZZ Version 2.6 update will feature two new S-tier agents and a Bangboo

The latest update, Version 2.6, adds two incredibly strong new characters, known as S-Rank agents, to Zenless Zone Zero. Here’s a look at who they are:

1. Sunna

Sunna is a powerful support agent who excels at boosting the attack power of her allies, especially those who focus on attack or anomaly effects. She’s accompanied by Bubblegum t, a companion who can tag enemies with ‘Cat’s Gaze,’ which can then be detonated to deal damage and give your team an attack boost. Her ultimate ability is a strong hammer strike that also pulls allies into the fight with a quick assist.

2. Aria

Aria joins the team as an Ether Anomaly agent. She can switch between two powerful forms during battle – a solid construct and an energetic idol projection – and also serves as the group’s singer. Aria excels at quickly dealing large amounts of damage to enemies weakened by Attribute Anomalies, and her charged attacks make her very effective in close combat.

3. New Bangboo: Biggest Fan

The new unit, Bangboo, known as Biggest Fan, provides ongoing support by restoring HP and boosting attack power for your team, but only when you have multiple Angels of Delusion members in play.

Both Sunna and Aria are getting new outfits, and I’m especially excited about Aria’s, which will have a special design that changes its appearance. Also, Version 2.6 will bring back banners for the S-Rank agents Yixuan (Auric Ink – Rupture) and Yuzuha (Physical – Support).

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6 brings new events and rewards

As with past updates, this one includes several events, the biggest being A Harmony of Delusions. You’ll play a support role, working behind the scenes with the Angels of Delusion, and your tasks will range from scheduling training to managing their social media.

And get this – you actually make them grow and evolve by playing along with the rhythm! Plus, the whole Marcel experience gets even bigger with brand new maps and cool new ways to play.

More events and rewards:

  • Hollow Zero gets a new game mode called the Operation Matrix, featuring weekly rotating stages with unique rules. Here, your team needs three Primary agents, a Bangboo, and an Auxiliary agent, and you can take advantage of new Resonia, agent-specific Gears, and the new Sweep function.
  • Agents Lycaon and Harumasa will get enhancements, in addition to a new outfit for Pan Yinhu coming via a limited-time event.
  • From now, you can also earn Polychrome through daily activities, with login rewards totalling 3,300 Polychromes, thanks to the special Inter-Knot Membership event.
  • The Guilded Surprise, Wonderful Boo-ns event goes live from February 14 to 23, letting you og in daily for lucky draws. With this, you’ll also get a chance to share in a massive 4 Billion Polychromes prize pool.

In addition, a global fan project called Sugar Rush: Cuteness Saves the World is starting up in various countries, offering opportunities for fans to collaborate, attend events, and participate in fun, themed activities.
