Union Glashütte has released a limited-edition watch, the Noramis Date Petro Surf 2026, to commemorate its sponsorship of the Petro Surf Festival. This unique event, held on the island of Sylt from June 26-28, 2026, combines a love of classic sports cars, Californian surf culture, and modern city life. As the watchmaker’s second collaboration with the festival, this new timepiece captures the event’s vibrant spirit in a beautifully crafted mechanical watch.

This watch design takes its cues from classic car engineering, most noticeably with a dial resembling a vintage wheel rim. The dial has a textured, three-dimensional surface with black details and small screw accents that look like wheel nuts. The watch itself features a balanced 40mm stainless steel case that’s only 10.4mm thick, giving it a sleek, sporty-yet-sophisticated feel. It’s designed for easy reading, with distinctive hands partially coated in white and bright green markers at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions for visibility in the dark. A small black date window at 6 o’clock and a black leather strap with a soft, suede-like finish complete the vintage look, making it ideal for coastal lifestyles.

Underneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, this watch is powered by the UNG-07.S1 mechanical movement, showcasing Union Glashütte’s commitment to durable German engineering. The automatic movement features a modern, anti-magnetic balance spring and provides a dependable power reserve of over 60 hours. With water resistance up to 100 meters (10 ATM), the watch is designed for both everyday use and challenging conditions, like exposure to saltwater.

The Noramis Date Limited Edition Petro Surf 2026 watch costs €2,780 (about $3,000 USD). Only 200 will be made worldwide. A special run of 25 watches will include the Petro Surf Festival logo printed on the back, celebrating the collaboration. You can find more information on the Union Glashütte website.
