Pokémon Horizons Season 3 Gets Official Netflix Release This June

One year after Professor Friede goes missing, the story of Rising Hope begins with Liko, Roy, and Dot finding each other again. They discover that the Pokémon Explorers are falsely portraying the Rising Voltacklers as the bad guys and are using Laquiuam to harm innocent Pokémon. Determined to prove their innocence and stop the Explorers’ plan, the trio decides to rebuild the Voltackler squad.

The new season has introduced several new characters. One is Ult, a trainer who initially had his own goals but eventually fully commits to helping the Voltacklers. He primarily battles with Sableye, but he also has a hidden Pokémon inside a Dusk Ball that won’t come out. Another new face is Roy, who adds a shiny Lucario to his team during his year of training.

While fans wait for the U.S. release of Part 3, a hidden anime treasure from 2025 has been revealed. The 13-minute short, Dragonite and the Special Delivery, was added to the official Pokémon YouTube channel on May 19th, continuing the franchise’s tradition of offering free anime content. It was created by CoMIX Waves Films, the studio known for popular movies like Your Name and Suzume.

Netflix is expanding its offerings beyond the typical action and adventure associated with Pokémon. Starting in September 2025, they will be releasing new content that explores different genres.

The animated series, created by dwarf studios (Rillakuma and Kaoru), centers around Haru, a woman who quits her demanding city job to work as a concierge at a relaxing tropical resort for Pokémon trainers. Initially approaching the job with a focus on efficiency, Haru learns to connect with the trainers and ensure they have a great experience. Netflix has announced that more episodes are planned, but a release date hasn’t been revealed yet.

Besides the new series, Pokémon Horizons, Netflix U.S. is also offering several older seasons of the original Pokémon anime. Currently, you can watch Pokémon Indigo League, Pokémon the Series: X & Y, Pokémon Journeys, Pokémon: Master Journeys, and Pokémon: Ultimate Journeys. The most recent Pokémon movie, Secrets of the Jungle, is also available on the platform.
