The Shocking Addition To The Masters Of The Universe Movie So Far That You Probably Missed

The trailer for Masters of the Universe featured a lot of well-known characters, giving fans a good look at how the film is bringing the world of Eternia to life. While the story will take place on present-day Earth for a while, it’s clear we’ll also see plenty of Eternia and its iconic characters.

The trailer for Masters of the Universe shows that many well-known characters will appear, fighting on both sides of the battle between He-Man and Skeletor. He-Man’s allies include Teela, Mechaneck, Man-At-Arms, and Battle Cat (who is also known as Cringer), among others. Skeletor will be supported by his usual partners, such as Evil-Lyn and Beast Man.

Goat Man, An Obscure Masters Of The Universe Villain, Will Appear In The Live-Action Reboot

Around 1 minute and 40 seconds into the Masters of the Universe trailer, you can briefly see a character standing near Spikor, one of Skeletor’s assistants. This character is Goat Man, a less prominent member of the Evil Warriors, and is recognizable by the straps across his chest and his ram-like horns.

Goat Man is a relatively obscure character in the Masters of the Universe lineup. He wasn’t featured in the popular 1980s cartoon, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, making him a lesser-known addition to the franchise.

Goat Man is mainly known for appearing as a minor villain in one He-Man book, 1985’s Secret of the Dragon Egg. In that story, he was presented as someone who worked under Beast Man.

Goat Man only appeared as a silent, background character in the Netflix series Masters of the Universe: Revelation. The fact that even such a minor character was included shows how dedicated the live-action reboot is to exploring the full history and details of the He-Man universe.

Skeletor Has 6 Confirmed Minions In The Masters Of The Universe Movie

Goat Man joins a growing roster of villains working for Skeletor in the Masters of the Universe series. Alison Brie will play Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s right-hand woman. The trailer also featured quick glimpses of Beast Man, Trap Jaw, and Tri-Klops.

Adding Spikor and Goat Man to the mix brings Skeletor’s confirmed number of henchmen to six as he prepares to fight He-Man and his friends. Since the trailer only showed a quick glimpse of Skeletor’s forces, we can expect to see even more appear in the show, either as easy opponents for He-Man or challenging enemies for the other heroes.

With the release of Masters of the Universe getting closer, we can expect to learn which major villains – like Mer-Man, Kobra Khan, and Whiplash – will appear in the film, unless the filmmakers decide to save some for a possible sequel.
