After a first glimpse of the black and white “Tuxedo-style” shoes, JJJJound, the Montreal-based design studio, has revealed a second colorway for their new collaboration with New Balance. The “Grey” version of the 1890 shoe was previewed in a lookbook image on JJJJound’s Instagram, as part of a preview for their upcoming Summer 2026 collection.
The shoe’s upper combines different shades of grey mesh and suede, with subtle synthetic details that add dimension without being too flashy. Branding is kept minimal, featuring a grey “N” logo on the sides and small JJJJound lettering on the heel – staying true to the collaboration’s clean style. Cream-colored laces and a uniquely shaped midsole provide a nice contrast, and the outsole uses a blend of black and grey for both grip and visual balance.
